Despite being endangered, these endangered species ooze a lot of star power. A lot of conservationists have capitalized on the idea of raising funds to protect them. Knowing some of these animals are integral parts of the ecosystem.

Giant Panda

The rarest member of the bear family is this bicolored adorable bamboo eating panda. It is an endangered species that China considers as a national treasure. Despite being endangered, they play a vital role in bamboo forests since they roam and spread seeds everywhere.


The tiger being an endangered species may be new to a lot of people. However, the overall number of wild tigers is increasing in most areas except in Southeast Asia where tigers are still declining in number. Remaining island tigers are now extinct and most continental tigers consist of Bengal, Malayan, Indochinese and Amur.

Blue Whale

The largest animal on the planet that weighs approximately thirty-three elephants and has a heart the size of a Volkswagen Beetle is currently in the list of endangered species. Known as the loudest animals on Earth, their calls reach one hundred eighty-eight decibels also louder than a jet engine. They also use their low-frequency whistles to attract other blue whales.
